Indian Calendar

Indian Calendar is based on Solar & lunar progression. It’s called samwat divided into 12 months.

Name of months:
Every month (called mas) begins with new moon (called shukla-pratipada). Names of the months are based on constellations in which full moon appears. Samwat begins with Chaitra Mas Shukla-Partipada. Names of Constellations & respective months are as under:

Chitra – Chaitr – March, April
Vishakha – Vaisakh – April, May
Jyeshtha – Jyeshth – May, June
Poorva Ashada – Ashad – June, July
Shravana – Sharavan/ Sawan – July, August
Poorva Bhadrapada – Bhadrapad – August, September
Ashwini – Ashwin – September, October
Kritika – Kartik – October, November
Mrigshira – Margshish – November, December
Pushya – Paush – December, January
Magha – Magh – January, February
Poorva Phalguni – Phalgun – February, March

To fine tune between solar & lunar years 7 months are added during a span of 19 years. Thus there is an extra month after every 3 year, called Adhik (extra) Mas.

Name of dates:
Every mas has two paksha (15 days) in a month – Krishna (dark/black) & Shukla (bright/light) paksha

Shukla Paksha – from New moon till Full moon
Krishna Paksha – from Full Moon to Amavasya (last quarter ends)

Names of 15 days in a paksha are as under:

The fourth dimension of human existence

For last many days I was unable to put my thoughts to words. As I always affirm that Astrologer is also a subject to destiny. So I thought it wiser to put up a note of remembrance and continue writing after gathering the right words!

In recent past I read someone telling that telepathy and intuitions is one and the same thing.

Well every person lives in more than four dimensions at the same time. 3 dimensions (3D) we all are familiar with – are the visible ones. Fourth one is invisible - Time. It could be explained in more than many ways. To start with – Every person lives in past, present and future at the same time. I know it sounds clumsy but not for long.

When one is physically in present, his/her subconscious may take a journey to time. Every person will have different speed of travel & experience depending upon their samskars (karmas of previous births). Thus few people have intense experiences as compared to the others. Once subconscious takes a journey to future, experiences begin. One may call them intuitions.

Telepathy is a much different phenomena. If Heavens allow, I would discus it in some forthcoming article!

The Trunk of Ganesha

(Read Hindi version here) (इसका हिन्दी प्रारूप यहाँ देखें)

Ganesha is probably one of the most worshiped God in Indian mythology. With increasing popularity & demand market is full of idols in different shapes, sizes and poses!

Everything was going fine for centuries until in recent years Almighty himself started playing games with his disciples. I would have loved watching the play had he not involved me in the game. Every now & then I receive a call from my clients’ world over “Which side the trunk of Ganesha should be turned?” I don’t have any answer and just for two simple reasons:

* First that it’s just a myth. For years all was going well until few frauds for their own benefits started promoting it. No matter how much I try to explain to my clients, they are more convinced with someone’s somebody’s version!

* Second and more obvious reason is that by telling my clients which way the trunk should be, I don’t want to be the part of those frauds, who have already done sufficient damage to the beliefs of common man!

So all I can do is to pray to Lord Vaktratunda (name of Lord Ganesha, meaning bent trunk) to please straighten up his trunk and thus ending this controversy once and forever!

Talk to Your Lines: Palmistry

Often people come to me telling that they do not know their time of birth or more commonly their date of birth. My reply to them is "Haath to apka hi hai" means Your hands can tell your destiny even without your date of birth and time of birth. In my professional career, over the years, I have used Astrology and Palmistry as complimentary tools to give effective predictions. For the first time ever, a book is being presented that contains all illustrations that are real pictures.

Hindi version of this book is available here

Often Astrologers find a need for a Ready Reckoner where they could find significances of various houses, signs, planets and nakshatra together. This book has filled that space. While giving useful information, it was also ket in focus to create an alphabetical directory to have a composite approach on this vast subject of astrology. As the name suggests this a Book of Significance for anyone in the field of astrology. A person will find useful information no matter what experience he holds or at what level he may be.

ताकि सनद रहे For records

Yet astrology wins!

For those who missed the article of mine: India: Visible Trends of Samwat 2064 (Year 2007 – 2008), here are few excerpts. Though U may read full article at
http://sanjaygulatimusafir.blogspot.com/2007/09/india-visible-trends-of-samwat-2064.html

It was first published on 13th March 2007.

… India is all set to set new standards in IT, Communication and Space programmes despite some early hick ups. India can also fetch good business in global market with its communication and space programmes…
And these are excerpts from Hindustantimes.com. Infact for last many days I was looking for such news to come in.
ISRO does an Italian job
Sriharikota, April 23, 2007
First Published: 11:34 IST(23/4/2007)
Last Updated: 20:08 IST(23/4/2007)

India’s first flight into the world of commercial space launches was accomplished without much ado when the PSLV-C8 launched the Italian Space Agency’s AGILE satellite in a flawless operation…… "It was a precise textbook launch which has once again proved the reliability, cost effectiveness and on time delivery of our space launch system," said a thrilled ISRO Chairman G Madhavan Nair……Today’s flight marked the 10 consecutive successful flight for the PSLV proving that the launcher has indeed settled down as ISRO’s dependable workhorse. This augurs well for the country’s moon mission in 2008, which will be riding on the proven strength of the PSLV and also for the country’s future commercial launches.
Though ISRO had launched small scientific satellites of other countries in the past - six to be exact – for a small fee today’s exercise marked its first commercial launch.

Hope says all about the prediction and Astrology!

Another Prediction comes true

In my article
India: Visible Trends of Samwat 2064 (Year 2007 – 2008), first published on 13th March 2007, at
http://sanjaygulatimusafir.blogspot.com/2007/09/india-visible-trends-of-samwat-2064.html

I had clearly mentioned the fate of elections. Some excerpts underneath for reference.

… Some states have already experienced change in Govt where ruling parties were thrown out by the common man, now other elections & states will soon see the same trends!...

Since this prediction:
Ruling party Congress was thrown out in MCD elections

Yet again as predicted, Uttar Pradesh’s voters have thrown out the ruling Mulayam Singh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party! What is interesting to find is it’s a clear mandate after 16 years in UP, where no alliances are required to get into the Legislative Assembly!

The Unsolved Mysteries कुछ अनसुलझे सवाल

Do mind my words, as I tell most of my clients, because once you mind the words then only you allow words to penetrate deep into the core of your heart. And that is the place I’m looking for my words – Deep into your Heart!

In recent years I have noticed a trend - A trend of changing beliefs and Ideology.
If you don’t want to believe me no matter, probably you are in a different trend set these days, but will soon come to mine. Some call it boasting upon myself but I know its my belief in myself, belief in truth, belief in what my Jyotish-Guru imparted in me.

Whom to worship
It would be more understandable to all connected to Hinduism in one or another manner. This is all post Ramayana and Mahabharata serial era in India.

Around 15 yrs back I remember a friend of mine telling me very casually that these days Lord Ganesha has started picking up the trend. As my first reaction to such statements I just smiled. But it was not that casual on his part. It’s not right to say but the truth is Lord Ganesha worship picked up. Lord Ganesha became more popular than any other Hindu Gods. More and more Ganesha idols and poses were hitting market stands everyday. As my belly started growing with my sedentary lifestyle, I also became lover of Ganesha Idols. I don’t know what people loved but I loved his beautiful belly which is similar to mine.

But as the belief grew, so grew a controversy. Which side Lord Ganesha trunk should ideally be turned to? Can you tell as I can’t tell even on this day!

I am so afraid of facing this question and getting into a discussion where questioner has heard something from somebody, who heard from somebody, who has heard somebody telling it somewhere!

Whenever Lord Ganesha is part of discussion, I come across two questions. First, Is it good to place Lord Ganesha Idol at the entrance of a house? I know it’s a common trend in many parts of southern India and particularly popular with Maratha people. From there it has been picked up. And, the immediate question after my “Yes” is: Which side the trunk should be turning to – Right or Left? Anybody who knows a justified, authentic answer, please oblige! Honestly I don’t know or probably I believe it is not that important.

Well, this controversy was probably one of the reasons that made Lord Ganesha lesser popular with followers like Seasonal Mushroom that disappear as fast as they appear with early showers! Those with spiritual needs never change ideologies.

As the trends changed and came in Shani Maharaj (Saturn). As being promoted, Saturn is the ruler of Kalyug, the modern world. While the trend is still in its very youth with new Shani Mandir(s) coming up for Shani-Abhishek and for offering mustard oil every Saturday, a roll back has begun.

Hanuman Ji have started regaining his old popularity, that I saw in my childhood, amongst the ‘seasonal mushrooms’. Who is next, even I don’t know…

Vastu: The truth behind
Astrology has been always there.
1. We can start from Lord Rama choosing a time to invade Ravana.
2. Karna foretelling the outcome of Mahabharata on the basis of Astrological principles.
3. Indian Royal courts always had Astrologers for getting counseled for various matters.
4. Most of the ancient civilizations had been practicing Astrology
5. Choice of India’s time and date of Independence, though within a allotted time zone.
6. Decleration of Indian Constitution
7. Most Oath taking ceremonies by Prime Minister and Chief Ministers

Where I want to point is the changing trends in belief(s).

I put up a real story or better say a fact statement.

I have 3 paternal uncles. In 1977 my 2nd uncle got married and we shifted to this new house for a bigger space! Talking about immediate family, we were 5 in all – My father, mother, myself and my two sisters. For many years we five lived in one room in that new house. I must say it was the most beautiful room in the world. I do open doors of that room and have a look at those times, whenever I happen to visit my ancestral house! But you know what size of that room was! Only people of my age group or older would easily believe me!

To give you an exact picture of the size & comfort: After placing the double bed of size 6 ft x 6 ft besides one wall, hardy any space was left to walk on either side of the bed. We used to move side wards to get in and out of the room! That room was smaller than the toilet I use today. Best feature of the room was, when it rained, it rained in our room also.

But why I am telling you the entire story! There is a genuine reason to it!

Can somebody explain me where was the room for VASTU in that room.
- Which side head should be?
- Which direction the ‘Puja’ (small temple in a house) should be?
- Which direction cash box should be? Which side should it open?
- Which side study table should be?

Honestly we never knew all that VASTU in those years. Even if we knew all that – We had NO CHOICE. Today when I try to remember all the set up, I know nothing was in tune to Vastu tips I give to my clients these days.

Yet another question arises. Were we doing well in those years? The answer is DEFINITELY YES. My father was growing in his business. My both parents kept good health all those years. The only challenge was that we (me and my sisters) developed a bad habit – a habit of topping every exam we took! And this challenge yet continues.

This does not mean that Vastu is not important. Definitely it is. I can present testimonies where, with my advices of minor rectifications in vastu, that does not involve moving a single brick at times, people had gains they were looking for! Further, I feel proud to inform most of the big temples and forts in earlier eras can been seen as good examples of Vastu.

So the unsolved mystery remains: Is Vastu only for people with choices and not for all?
Or it has been made exceedingly popular by the sick media and seasonal mushrooms. Both always look forward to something new to hype about!

The Feng Shui Mystery
As Vastu became popular, budding marketers were under pressure to bring in something new. It essentially must do with sentiments and impulsive buying. So they found the right one Feng Shui.

One night I slept everything was absolutely fine. But next morning when I woke I found my house was good with vastu but had some problems as per Feng Shui. The flow of two energies Yin & Yen, as Feng Shui deals with, was not correct. It was attracting negative energy inside the house.

Luckily this time I don’t have to reconstruct my house as per the advise of ‘VastuMan’. No wall was to be moved. The ‘FengShuMan’ had solutions readily available for me. He saved my money by eliminating hazardous re-construction. What more, by placing some right things at right places brought in promise of Wealth and prosperity! But, to whom was not the question at that time. The ‘FengSuiMen’ became wealthier; I became or not was never in the asking!

Feng Shui helps or not is not the question. But is it applicable universally has always been my question.

Here I feel it important to say that I don’t question authenticity just by sitting outside. I studied Feng Shui and what I observed is that what could be right in one civilization can’t be right in the other one. I quote you easier examples from other world to explain my point.

In Vastu it is advised to offer prayers with face towards North or East. In Muslim community, prayers are offered by facing west for a simple valid reason that Mecca is in that direction. So who is wrong? Answer is very easy ‘Both are Right’. The only difference is different communities, different beliefs and values.

Same is what I found with Feng Shui. If you study Feng Shui keeping Chinese civilization in mind, all sounds right, but not in India.

If you happen to visit my office any of these days, you will find ‘Laughing Budha(s)’ placed on my table. Not because they will bring me wealth or prosperity, but for a simple reason they also have similar belly as I have. When my daughter teases me, I tease them all!

Quiz Time:
Did you notice recently many people are placing Laughing Buddha at entrances instead of Lord Ganesh! Can you guess why?

Simple, it eliminates buying hazard! They don’t have any trunk to move on either side. Still they promise wealth and good luck as Ganpati do! Please don’t pity on the Seasonal Mushrooms!

The Mystery of Names
Numerology is another zone that fascinates me! I will buy house, cars of my lucky numbers and would take best possible effort to assure that this is all done on a day that suits my number. I have been so benefited by Numerology that I will change my spouse’s, my children’s, my firm’s, my brand’s name that match with my number and prove lucky. Don’t get surprised by that. It was not a big deal for me when I could easily add or remove an alphabet or two in my name if the entire name was not changed. You know the idea behind is to put everything under my Good Luck scheme.

It works or not is not my headache. I have to do it because I have seen others doing it. Were they fools to do that. They must have done because they must have seen somebody being benefited. And someone’s somebody goes on & on…

The little knowledge I have, it works on calculations done on the basis of date of birth and popular name.

Now, I present an example to put up my point. Please read the following names
ASHOK
ASHOKE
ASHHOK
ASOKE
ASHOKK
But in Hindi they all will be written as अशोक until the pronunciations also change.

Which means Numerology is applicable only in the English speaking world. What about other languages? With time and efforts formulas can be devised that are applicable with other languages also. Even then the challenge remains in which language the name should be changed, because they won’t appear same in all languages!

Until this mystery is solved I would prefer to hear and read Kiran as Kiran (किरण) and not anything else! Accept for that by Shahrukh Khan that sounds KKKKiran क...क...क...क...किरन!

“Chak De India” चक दे इण्डिया

As I was running through one of the national newspapers this morning, it read “One more Chak De moment in the spring of Indian sport”

It also listed few of the achievements by Indian teams. They are:

Football: On August 29, India beat Syria to win the Nehru Cup
Hockey: On Sept 9, India thrash South Korea 7-2 to become Asian Champions
Cricket: On Sept 24, Dhoni’s devils lift T20 world championship
Chess: On Sept 30, Vishwanathan Anand becomes world champion

When I wrote, on March 13 2007, about a good samwat ahead for Indian Sports

“In sports, Indians are all ready to lift few trophies, awards to get attention and recognition world over...”

Most would have only thought of Team India lifting ODI Cricket world cup. But I was more than sure that that won’t happen! One of my friends asked me will India win the world cup – and as the planets were, it was never on cards! “My answer was anyone but not India”

A lot of queries flew in asking that you predicted Indian lifting trophy and nothing has happened! I kept a calm silence! Most of the times Astrologer need not answer as planets talk for them! Unlike most others for me sports is not confined to cricket. Despite a keen follower of the game, I never get so involved to the extent of getting anxiety or depression!

Honestly! You may even get confirmed! Dhoni or any of his team-member didn’t part any penny from the millions they earned! Neither I could go and console Indian Hockey team players that despite creating a history of hitting maximum number of goals and a thumping victory – You people are still fighting for bread and butter! I was just wondering, on both occasions, how fast will it get erased from people’s mind! Unfortunately for Hockey Team it was erased faster than even they could have anticipated!

The Victory – that made “Chak De” a Sporting Anthem for Indian Sports is yet to be duly recognised!
And as is said Justice delayed is Justice DENIED.

... and India Wins!

Congrats! to every follower of the game of Cricket! It was a wonderful match to watch! Better team on the day won!
Congrats in particular to the Hard-Core fans of Indian Cricket!
Some may call it a good prediction by me! But as I said fore-hand every prediction and its outcome is a learning experience for me!
I won't call it a good prediction.
I failed at two points:
* Umpiring was fair throughout the match!
* It was not what one could safely call One sided! Yes, Indian team was always in control of situation, keeping their head cool!
So, still a beginner (or better say student) of this Great Science called Astrology even after 20 years of experience!

Outcome of Finals of T20 World Cup

Subcontinent can not ask a better treat in T20 world cup than a Final match between India and Pakistan. Both nations could be friends off field. But when it comes to Cricket or Hockey, it always is a pressure game. As the time is narrowing it is taking on nerves of every follower of games!

As we were watching news coverage, my wife asked me – “Will India win tomorrow? I am confident that India will win!”

My obvious reaction was rush to watch to record the time! It was 20:47 hrs IST on 23rd September 2007.

The stage for me was set to predict!

And as I foresee:
* India may (the word is “may”) win the toss
* Definitely, India will be benefitted out of the toss
* Some controversial Umpiring will be there!
* Totally one-sided match
* And, Indian Team will lift the Glory & Trophy

So, let’s hold our nerves to watch another pressure match.

Some will enjoy batting, other the bowling. But I will only learn!

Every prediction and its outcome becomes learning for me!

Indian Calendar or ... : Which one is right!

As the Vikrami Samwat 2064 begins on 19th March 2007, yet again an issue rises, Indian Calendar vs Christian Calendar.

I met a noble man who always told “You are lucky you are born in Hindu family and more lucky are you to b e linked with Sanatan Dharma” Here I feel the need to express my respect for all religions and beliefs. My point is not to raise any religious issues or to mark a question on anybody’s belief. I don’t find any religion telling disrespect humanity or don’t believe in existence of God. Which means everyone is preaching same things in their own way.

So now another issue rises that why I mentioned this particular statement. Just to underline what I am about to say.

Well as far as my knowledge goes, in Hinduism our sages have planned things so prudently that they are applicable even today. No doubts with times and with people adding things as per their limited knowledge have done a lot of damage to this culture. Far more truth is that for ages religion was used to hold power and few selfish people exploited common man which did the real damage. It simply led people to a way where they either opted to stay away from rituals or moved to other religious beliefs. I still sometimes wonder why is it important for me to get converted to Christianity to follow what Jesus preached or to get converted to Islam to follow what Mohammad preached.

I have heard of people being converted to Islam or Christianity or to other religion, never heard of being converted to Hinduism. This openness of Hinduism has always attracted me and people world over.

In my thoughts and observation, any religion is not about belief only it is about leading a lifestyle. Following Hinduism for few may feel like living in old times but for most its living in modern times as none of the beliefs have gone wrong so far. Here its yet again important to tell Hinduism does not mean being exploited by few, it means living the way Vedas and Puranas tell. Recently I was watching an advertisement on TV for a particular brand that said you can envy us but CAN’T IGNORE US. Same is applicable here.

These days Indian TV channels are full of two things: Trying to justify those who tell Hindu beliefs are outdated and other trying to promote the Hindu beliefs in their own way. To be very honest both are doing damage to Hinduism. Worse is done by people who are promoting it.

Don’t get surprised. That’s true. They are selling what people want to buy and not the right facts. In the blind fold of the profit-desire they are damaging the image of our ancient old beliefs. I recently found someone quoting it rightly on a TV programme that news channels have become “No News Gossip Channels” The only difference is that we discus it sitting in our comfortable lounges and she was courageous and to tell in open.

Well coming back to the basic issue from where I started: 1st Jan New year or beginning of Samwat is a new Year.

We experience six seasons in a year and Hindu calendar works with that. Every Hindu festival and its rituals are closely related to these seasons.

The Christian calendar neither works with solar or lunar progression. It is a simplified method to remember dates and thus became popular and widely acceptable. The Hijri calendar works with Lunar progression which has got some challenges attached to it. But the Vikrami Calender that is widely followed by Hindus works with Solar as well as Lunar progression.

A particular event might not fall on the same date (Christian calendar), as we observe, every year but it falls on same Vikrami date year after year! What does that mean! It means that even decades after decades we will have same solar and lunar positions at the time of that particular event. And do I need to inform that Sun and Moon are the two basic planets that affects all life existence on this planet earth!

It hardly matter whether scientist accept this fact or not, because they are limited by their so called vast studies, researches and instrument panels. They start accepting things only when they re-discover same facts themselves. Its just like re-doing a work that has been done centuries ago. Rather than taking a head start they go blind after western world, doing same blind work they are doing and later finding a new thing/fact that already exists in our Classical books.

Yet again, as ever, I leave my discussion open to the prudence of my readers. Its up to them to decide for a head start or wait for learned scientist to re-do and re-discover things for them!

Pakistan: Can they learn something from India

If my readers remember I have already discussed some erotic changes in & by Pakistan and Bangladesh, while predicting about Samwat 2064. No need to specify about Bangladesh and Pakistan situation at present. Then in recent articles I mentioned Independence of India & Pakistan on the two ends of a same day!

But why I am mentioning it – I call it Romancing in Astrology! They might succeed, they might fail! But as I always tell my students romance but within the framework of basics of astrology – and eliminate the failures!

Since both nations got Independence on the same day, basic complexion of planetary positions are same. I need to specify, going into finer details, one will find totally different horoscopes!

Presently, Pakistan is running into Dasha of Ketu/Mercury that started Dec 2006. India saw this phase from Sept 1988 to Sept 1989. That was the time when Rajiv Gandhi was completing his term as PM and a lot was being said and taken up about his leadership. Also it was the time when an air of uneasiness against his leadership was there. But Nehru/Gandhi family has always enjoyed the status of a Royal family in Indian Politics.

Well my point is does Pakistan has something to learn about from what India faced during those years and consequently after that! Do I need to remind about sending army to Lanka and later living the consequences!

Rahu-Kaalam

Ever since I posted my article on Muhurta, queries flew in about Rahu-Kalam.
Rahu-Kaal on various days of week is between given hours
Monday: 0730 - 0900
Tuesday: 1500 - 1630

Saturday: 0900 - 1030
Sunday: 1630 - 1800
It is advised that any new work or journey should not be started during Rahu-Kaalam.

India: Visible Trends of Samwat 2064 (Year 2007 – 2008)

Samwat 2064: begins 19th March 2007 at 08:12:27 hrs IST

A Year where economy in general is growing yet full of agitations, riots, uneasiness amongst common man, as I could foresee the samwat 2064!

While on one hand India would be growing in global scenario, it would be facing some major challenges within its boundaries on the other. India’s Foreign policy will be widely accepted and it will get support all over! On one hand India will get into some major agreements related to business and finances with its neighbours, on other peace talks may take some hit but erotic behaviours from few countries, Bangladesh & Pakistan in particular!

Business, money market seems to be growing during this samwat! Stock markets will keep rising despite some unfolded scandals. Expect some new scandals uprooted during this year which may lead to instability amongst common man, lock horns within coalition partners and more!

Some states have already experienced change in Govt where ruling parties were thrown out by the common man, now other elections & states will soon see the same trends! But for me outlook would be whether centre can see through this phase! Politicians are the worst hit this year other than Media & Transport Industry.

India is all set to set new standards in IT, Communication and Space programmes despite some early hick ups. India can also fetch good business in global market with its communication and space programmes. Media Industry in India could see some, long expected, limitations imposed on it.

In sports, Indians are all ready to lift few trophies, awards to get attention and recognition world over. May I use my column to warn respective sports authorities to be alert enough so that there success tastes are not bitter by unfolded scandals etc!

I wonder if this samwat will again be marked with floods and draughts! Hope some day major rivers get connected to find a solution to this challenge!

I wish months of Apr, May, Sept 2007 don’t find some mass killing, explosions or agitations!

Is Astrology just a Scientific analysis?

(This has been my favourite article all these years. Most of my Astrology students have read it)

Today 3rd January 2001. For last 13 years I have been associated with occult sciences. Looking back, even I don’t remember how many palms or horoscope I would have gone through during all these years. In beginning, I remember I was in a different zone to see more hands, new hands. So much so that I remember even seeing few hands forcibly!

Whenever I predicted and things turned out to be true, I got appraisal and the most common comment was “Truly it’s a science”. I always kept quiet and thought in core of my heart “Is it just a science?” Okay I ask you a question ”Can we predict only on the basis of scientific principles?” Hopefully most of you would have replied “NO”. So what else is working along! THINK!

There are three major aspects of occult sciences:
• Most significant and most important – Devotion towards God
• The scientific analysis
• And the most ignored part – Art of Analysis and predicting.

Let's discus all three one by one.

The most important factor I consider is the Devotion towards almighty, being attached to God. It hardly matter which region you are from or which form of God you believe in. Important is to be in LINK with that Almighty, whose will you are about to read! Whenever I discus this matter in a group, at first I always get sharp reaction. “All planets are placed in their houses, if we come to know lagna and bhavas, anybody can predict. Where this devotion came from!” I’m always ready for such reactions. I immediately ask

“Have you ever heard or experienced that a person without even looking at a horoscope told something that came out to be true?”

Almost everyone accept it.

My immediate next question is
‘How this happens?”

And the replies are
“Must have achieved some Siddhi (mastering supernatural)”
“Intuitions” “Blessings of God”

And I never need to explain anything after that!

Remember, God does not reside in buildings. In fact HE resides in our body, close to our Soul. All one needs is to find that Almighty. Recently a saint told me “You can find god not by going anywhere but by knowing HIM” “Just like hunger can only be felt and not shown to anybody, You can only experience GOD within” “GOD is not to be seen with physical eyes. It is to be seen with EYES that see hunger and then satisfaction (after taking food)”

In Hindu mythology, Goddess Lakshmi (Goddess of wealth) rides an owl. But when She travels along Lord Vishnu (God of Righteousness), She rides Garuda (The king of Birds). What does that mean:
A person who runs after money has character and personality like an Owl. But a person who follows path of religion, wealth follows on its own that too with – Strength, health, knowledge and wisdom.

That is why while talking about Occult sciences we can not overlook religion and devotion. A Good astrologer is one who has strong belief in God and knows that he is a mere subject of that Almighty. Undoubtedly another aspect is the scientific analysis. I need not discus much about this subject right now. Market place is full of books talking on various branches of occult sciences.

Third aspect that is most ignored is Creative Analytical Astrology. My Jyotish Guru call it “Romance with Astrology” We might sound clumsy, but it's true.

We often talk about Desh – Kaal – Paatr (person’s age, socio-economic background and the region or society he belongs to) But while analysing things we tend to forget or better say ignore it. When people ignore it and do blunders while making predictions, they do no good to these sciences. Just to explain what I and my Jyotish Guru intend to explain, I tell you an instance.

It was in May 1999. Early evening a female in her mid ages (around 50 yrs) visited me. Early in my career I made a practice to judge querist’s question. After observing her hand for almost 15-20 minutes, I spoke my first words.

“Do your husband have an extra marital affair?”

The female was shocked. This was the reason she actually came to me.

Now, you might be thinking how I gave that prediction. This what we call “Creative Analytical Astrology” or “Romance with Astrology” Its simple. We tend to see what is in front of us. Learn to see what is hidden beneath.

What I noticed in her hand was as follows:
• She is emotional
• She is not aggressive or offensive by nature
• She has some problem related to her husband

Knowing that problem was from husband’s side, I noticed following:
• Husband has no problems with health
• Her children are healthy and have positive attitude towards her
• There are no daily disputes in her family life
• She is well to do financially

When I collectively analysed that she is having problem from husband’s side and none of the above challenges exist, the only possibility arises is that her husband is keeping an extra marital relation. Interestingly, the female told that whole family knew about it. But they never ever discussed or created dispute over the issue in house. But still the female was hurt some where inside. And her hand reflected that out!

Destiny and Freewill

Many times people think that they have been driving the vehicle of their destiny. Let them feel so! But the truth is “Destiny Drives Us in the Vehicle!” It takes us where it wants to. So an intelligent question arises “What’s the use of Astrology? If everything was predestined what & where comes the need for Astrology?”

Lets have a healthy discussion!

As I always say “Everybody in the world except an astrologer is blind.” Here I need to specify two facts. Firstly the term astrologer includes anybody and everybody who is blessed with knowledge of any occult science. Second is more important and significant. The term Astrologer, I use, DOES NOT AT ALL include any one and everyone who is making fool of society by pretending to be a learned astrologer and fooling them for mere financial interests.

Lets try to understand:

Destiny is like a football game. Laid out boundaries to play within, clearly laid out rules. There is nothing as such Grey Matter. Yet under time of stress or under specific needs players tend to brake rules. Some who sense opportunities well, tend to utilise it in fruitful manner and thus score well.My point to explain is that there always remains the room of freewill within the framework of Destiny. Therefore an astrologer is the only one with vision, the vision to foresee the framework of individual’s destiny. Astrologer thereby through good analysis of this framework can help individual set his social, financial, material and spiritual targets and help him achieve them as well with minimum efforts.

I often explain it like – Astrology helps individual to swim with the water stream. Yet anybody want to be adventurous - Swim against the stream. Waste of time and energy is assured if not drowning.

Yet I leave this discussion open to every individual’s own perception of destiny and freewill. I can only explain facts not make anyone understand it.
